Balik Kampung

Back home using the commuter. 2008
Hari Raya, or the Eid is the largest celebration in Malaysia. The celebration is the end mark of one-month fastig during the Ramadhan. After one month of holding back against food, sex, gossip and other worldly things, the muslims celebrate their end of fasting month by going back to their hometown, wearing new dress, prayers, visiting cemetery of their loved ones and vising relatives and friends. This is a celebrating worth cramping the train.

Raya Shopping

Shopping spree, Jalan Masjid India

Shopping spree (2), Jalan Masjid India

Jalan Masjid India (the Little India) is the shopping haven for the Malays during Ramadhan, the fasting month. The malays by new dresses to celebrate Hari Raya that marks the end of the fasting month. Streets are packed with shoppers. You can imagine how much space each shopper has in the shops in this area. This is a good time for the business people. It is also a good time for the malay shoppers. I love Ramadhan.
